If you need to order a birth certificate, you can hit the North Dakota Department of Health web site where you will find links to ordering a birth certificate and a death certificate. As of January 1, 2008, you must provide proof of your identity if you request a birth record. You must be the individual, one of the parents of the individual or you need legal documentation to prove that you are entitled to order the birth record.
